The geophysicist (Dr. Niu) at New Terra Tech received solid academic training in civil engineering, petroleum engineering, and earth sciences, and he has over ten years of experience in geoscience research and education. Over the years, he has risen to be one of the prominent researchers in the field of hydrology and geophysics.  In academia, he has been the principal investigator of a number of research grants from various funding agencies, including the National Science Foundation.
